Senior Development Worker – Health & Wellbeing Community Hub

30 hours per week – Based in Bexhill-on-Sea
Salary Range: £23,541 - £27,041 per annum pro rata, depending on experience
This is a fantastic opportunity to join SCDA’s Health & Wellbeing service. We are looking for someone to develop a vibrant Health and Wellbeing Community Hub in central Bexhill and Sidley.
The role will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering (in conjunction with partners) a broad range of community based initiatives, which addresses the health & wellbeing needs of all age ranges / backgrounds.
We are looking for someone who is dedicated to the promotion of health and wellbeing in the community and wants to tackle inequalities and drive improvement in this area.
You will oversee the welfare of a team of volunteers and work placements who share the commitment to build a thriving centre.
Ideally you will have at least two years’ experience of developing, delivering and evaluating services in the community, and of partnership and inter-agency working. If you have also had experience of collaborating on and/or writing funding bids, that would be beneficial.
You will be a motivated self-starter who is able to plan and use initiative and have a flexible approach to community engagement.  The post is subject to a DBS check, and being a car owner and driver is preferred.
