Senior Finance Officer

1 x Part Time 22.5 hours per week  

Location: Hastings – Home / Office based 

Salary: £25,264 - £29,372 per annum (pro rata)

We are looking for a new Senior Finance Officer to join our Central Services Team. The post holder will play a key role as part of the Finance Department, working with the Finance Director and two part time Finance Officers. You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, preparing income claims, and working with colleagues to provide all accounting functions including a monthly payroll.  

You will be an integral member of the team looking to ensure the financial services function fulfils its role of supporting operational teams. You will be heavily involved in dealing with internal colleagues and managers as well as external funders and professionals. This will include liaising with operational managers to ensure income is maximised and to provide an input into budget management.

This is a varied and sometimes complex role, requiring high levels of attention to detail and strong communication skills. The ability to use Excel to a good, competent standard and work with our internal database, accounting and payroll packages is essential. You will have good analytical skills and be able to demonstrate use of these in the role. Accuracy is essential as is the ability to manage a complex workload and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

This position is subject to a standard DBS and Eligibility to Work checks.
