Young Persons’ Therapist

Are you a newly qualified therapist seeking an opportunity to develop and enhance your practice? 
We are recruiting for the following post within our Young Oasis team:

Young Persons’ Therapist – 22.5 hours per week; permanent [Hastings, East Sussex based]

Salary range £24,491 to £26,511 per year full time equivalent depending on experience

Who we are:
For over 24 years Oasis Project (Oasis) has been delivering services for women with drug and alcohol problems and children affected by drug use in the family.  We give help and hope to women and children affected by drug and alcohol problems. Our Young Oasis team provides therapeutic services for children/young adults as well as a creche providing childcare for all ages. 

Young Persons’ Therapist: What you will do: 
You will work with children and young people aged between 5 and 18 years who are affected by familial substance/alcohol misuse.  This will involve:
 - conducting initial meetings
 - running therapy sessions;
 - liaising with other professional agencies; 
 - inputting into child protection processes;
- service evaluation.

You will ideally have: 
•    MA / MSc training in integrative arts psychotherapy or equivalent
•    Registration with appropriate professional body e.g. UKCP, BACP, HPC
•    Experience of working with children/young people
•    Knowledge and experience of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities, confidentiality procedures and data protection guidelines 
•    Skilled to work as an independent clinician 
•    Knowledge of issues facing substance misusers
•    Resilient attitude that adheres to professional boundaries at all times
•    Ability to work in a way that is reflective, adaptable and non-judgmental 
•    Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as on own initiative
