Hastings Street Pastors

Street Pastors do not preach or evangelise but care, listen & help, particularly with regard to young people who have found themselves disenfranchised and/or marginalised from society. A Street Pastor is someone who is willing to engage people where they are, in terms of their thinking (their perspective on life) and location (where they hang out, be it on the streets, in the pubs or clubs or wherever). Street Pastors are there to get to know people in the community and to build relationships in order to find out their needs & what can be done to help. Our five core values are the sacredness & sanctity of human life, valuing and honouring the community, being a person of integrity, taking personal responsibility & the growth & development of the individual to the fullest potential.
