HVA have recently been focussing attention on the condition and future of local Community Buildings. There are a range of community centres, halls and other spaces in the borough, but sometimes their condition, upkeep and sustainability is challenging. We are keen that strategic partners are aware of the importance of community buildings and how capital funding might be obtained to improve and develop them.
To draw these threads together HVA, through our special projects volunteer Simon Hubbard, have produced a position paper calling for a strategic Borough-wide perspective to be taken.
The paper has been endorsed by the Hastings Community Network Executive and we are publishing it to enable the opportunity for groups to feed in their their comments or views.
