The Friends of Conquest Hospital CIO supports The Conquest Hospital by providing additional equipment and services that directly enhance the health, comfort and wellbeing of patients, their families, and hospital staff. We aim to ensure that patients receive the best level of care, diagnosis and treatment locally. Over the past decade, we have donated items and services totaling over £3.5m.
Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration Manager to oversee the administrative functions of our organisation. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, coordinating office activities, and supporting various projects within the charity.
Duties
• Assisting with any aspects of the management of the Friends as directed by the General Manager.
• Manage daily administrative operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Coordinate meetings, and appointments for staff members and trustees.
• Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
• Implement and maintain administrative systems, procedures, and policies to enhance productivity.
• Communicate effectively within the organisation and externally to facilitate collaboration.
• Train and support administrative volunteers in their roles, fostering a positive work environment.
Requirements
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• Must have own transport and clean driving licence.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT systems.
• Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and managing a busy workload.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are crucial for success in this role.

• Salary: £20,000 - £21,600
• Hours: 30 hours / 4 days
• Contract: Permanent
• Annual Leave: 20 days per year + statutory holidays
• Able and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• The expectation is that most of the hours will be carried out at the charity’s base at The Conquest Hospital.
