Citizens Advice 1066 (CA1066) is recruiting a reliable Energy Adviser to provide essential support to local residents. This permanent role involves delivering energy advice across Hastings, Rother, and the surrounding areas, contributing to our charitable mission to relieve poverty and promote public health.
The Role: Delivering Personalised Energy Support
The primary function of this role is to provide practical energy advice to local people through both home visits and telephone consultations. The ideal candidate will be organised, focused, and dedicated to client welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct home visits to assess the client's living situation and property condition. Provide personalised energy advice and, where appropriate, install small energy efficiency measures.
• During visits, set up smart meters and dataloggers and subsequently collect the generated data.
• Use data gathered on energy consumption, temperature, and humidity to deliver highly personalised energy advice to clients.
• Provide detailed energy advice to clients by telephone.
• Maintain accurate and professional case records for all engaged clients.
• Prioritise client welfare, including appropriate signposting and making referrals to other support services when required.
Position Details
Role Energy Adviser
Salary £27,189 - £28,728 (pro-rata if part-time). Salary increases to the top band after successful completion of training.
Hours 30 to 37 hours per week. This is a Permanent contract. Flexible working hours are available, subject to discussion.
Annual leave 23 days holiday entitlement (in addition to bank holidays), increasing to 24 days after 3 years service and capped at 25 days after 4 years service. Pro-rata for part-time.
Location Based at the CA1066 office in St Leonards-on-Sea when not conducting visits or outreach. Flexible home-working is possible after training is completed.
