After over 20 years Peter Thorpe, HVA’s Deputy Director, will be leaving HVA in May to pursue new endeavours and opportunities. Having been the backbone behind HVA’s achievements Peter has been fundamental to our work and has made a massive contribution to the local voluntary sector. He has supported many organisation in their funding activity, trained over 2000 people to increase their fundraising skills, and has consistently levered in over £1.5m to the sector each year as well as creating and sustaining local jobs.
On behalf of the trustees, staff, volunteers and supporters of HVA we would like to thank Peter for everything he has contributed, his long-standing commitment to our sector and wish him well for the future.
HVA is currently reviewing the role and we will be starting a recruitment process in the near future.
