Financial Capability Trainer/Adviser

Hours:  37 hours per week (suitable for job sharing – hours negotiable)
Location: Hastings, East Sussex
Salary: £20,540, plus 1% pension contribution rising to 3% (pro rata for part-time hours)
Citizens Advice 1066 is a charity providing free, confidential, independent and impartial advice to anyone in and around the Hastings area. We aim to provide the advice people need for the problems they face and improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.
We currently have an opportunity for someone to deliver financial capability learning activities and advice in group and one-to-one client sessions. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the theory and principles of adult learning; experience of engaging with adults who have had poor experiences of adult learning; experience of planning and developing learning activities; experience of working in a customer-focussed setting; good interpersonal skills; experience of using IT to support service delivery; an NVQ Level 2 Gateway certificate or similar.   
This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week (suitable for job sharing). You should be committed to our values and the services we provide. We welcome applications from all sections of the community. 
You will work principally across Hastings and Rother, but also around East Sussex and occasionally further afield.
