Participant Support Manager

Full time permanent – 37 hours per week
Salary range - £23,541 - £27,041 per annum dependant on skills & experience 
Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA) runs a range of projects aimed at supporting the involvement of the whole of the community.  We are proud to have been selected as a delivery partner for the Work and Health Programme in East Sussex, which is designed to support participants who have health issues or are long term unemployed to gain sustainable employment. 
This is an exciting time for our organisation and we are now looking for the following motivated individual with a passion for helping those who need it most, to join our team:
Working across East Sussex, the role is based in Eastbourne and Hastings (current work pattern requirement is Mon-Tue in Eastbourne and Weds-Thu-Fri in Hastings) – job sharing would be considered.
This is a great opportunity for organised and passionate individuals to support people who face complex barriers to move into sustainable employment. Your role will involve assessing participants’ support and development needs, and working with them to find employment. Building rapport with these participants, you will source job opportunities and maintain supportive relationships, whilst running regular group sessions and liaising regularly with health professionals, partner organisations and employers. 
This role is perfect for someone who has proven experience of supporting a wide range of people into sustainable employment.
You will have a strong track record of successfully working towards targets and experience of managing and progressing a caseload of participants. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be second-to-none, and you will be flexible and proactive in your approach to work.
The post is subject to a DBS check. The role is based in the locations detailed above with regular travel to partner and outreach locations across the East Sussex community.
