27.5 hours per week, worked Monday to Thursday
Salary: £16,046 per annum
The Carer Support Worker will provide one-to-one support to carers by phone and face-to-face, facilitating carers groups, and undertake joint work with our partners in the NHS, Adult Social Care and the voluntary sector.
The successful applicant will be a skilled communicator with excellent IT and organisational skills. The ability to gain and maintain carers’ confidence is essential, as is an understanding of carers’ needs and rights. You will work across a range of community settings, with office space being provided in Eastbourne, and the post holder’s main community duties taking place within the Hastings and Rother CCG area, however, work anywhere within East Sussex may be required, so being a car driver is essential.
Both posts are subject to a DBS check.
Care for the Carers is committed to valuing diversity and is an equal opportunities employer. We have a number of measures in place to support the carers in its employment including carers leave. We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME and disabled people are currently under-represented in our workforce.
An Application Pack is available by clicking on the link: www.cftc.org.uk/work-with-us, or by calling Stephanie Blake on 01323 738390.
Closing date for applications is 12noon on Monday 11th November 2019. Interviews will be held during week commencing 18th November 2019.
