The Sara Lee Trust is a highly regarded local charity providing free counselling, complementary therapies and group activities to people in the Hastings and Rother area affected by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Our psychological support and therapy care can have a compelling impact on the lives of people who are often facing their most challenging and difficult times of their lives. We are looking for qualified counsellors with relevant experience of working with serious illness who wish to help us continue to make a positive impact across our local community.
Senior Counsellor (Part – time up to 30 hours per week)
Up to £29.5K per annum*
Part-time Counsellor (Part – time up to 16 hours per week)
Up to £27k per annum*
*dependent on experience
Fixed term contract for 15 months
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the team is currently working from home, providing counselling mainly via. telephone and Zoom, however, face to face counselling is slowly being reintroduced. Under normal circumstances, counselling is provided from St. Michael’s Hospice, our purpose designed Therapy Centre in Sidley, the Hub on Rye Hill as well as in patients’ homes and in other places of care such as hospitals and nursing homes.
