We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised team player to provide maternity cover in our vibrant Active Hastings team from June 2022 on a maternity contract for up to 12 months. Active Hastings is a partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council, which aims to increase physical activity levels and reduce health inequalities in the least active members of our community.
Supported by the Active Hastings Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading on the planning, development, and co-ordination of a range of interventions for young people and adults. You will work with external agencies and organisations to increase levels of physical activity of our least active residents via a series of inclusive interventions, which will help address national health targets within the prioritised areas of Hastings and St Leonards.
You will support the team of permanent and casual Active Hastings sports and physical activity workers, planning and organising resources and undertaking performance management of staff to ensure a high standard of delivery of Active Hastings interventions.
