An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and talented Assistant Manager to join our team at the Isabel Blackman Centre in Hastings. This is initially a fixed term maternity cover role but there may be opportunities across the charity in the longer term.
Isabel Blackman Centre Assistant Manager (Maternity Cover)
Hastings, East Sussex.
Salary: £23,569
35 hours per week 1 FTE
Fixed Term Maternity Cover Contract
Working closely with the General Manager, the Assistant Manager will play a key role in the creation and development of the Isabel Blackman Centre as a vibrant and sustainable destination, enhancing the health and wellbeing of people in and around Hastings. You will lead the centre’s exciting schedule of classes, activities, and events, ensuring these are co-designed with members and customers.
You will support operations, providing coordination and support to the centre’s team of paid and volunteers in creating and sustaining the centre’s reputation for quality, value, and service. Part of the role involves acting as the duty manager undertaking responsibilities such as overseeing the centre membership, managing daily operations and opening and closing the venue on a rota bases.
In addition you will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing the centre’s volunteer team. Overseeing the centre’s community shop and information service. Supporting with centre marketing, promoting membership and the daily calendar of activities externally with partners.
This role is based at the Isabel Blackman Centre, Hastings which has relaunched as a newly renovated and vibrant leisure and wellbeing facility for the over 50’s
