At Little Gate Farm we are passionate about enabling adults with learning disabilities and autism to fulfil their potential. In this rewarding role you will play a vital part by transporting individuals who otherwise may not be able to access Little Gate’s training program and activities and supporting them into paid work for the first time in their lives.
The right candidate will:
• Have D1 on their driving licence.
• Have a caring and kind attitude.
• Be patient and calm.
• Be flexible.
• Work well on their own and in pressured situations Experience with minibus driving and working with vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.
Duties include:
• Picking up our trainees, who have learning disabilities and autism, from various locations around the local area and bringing them to Little Gate Farm/ taking them home. • Maintaining good relationships with trainees, parents, and carers,
• Supporting the trainee’s development and professionalism
Hours of Work:
• Monday - Wednesday plus extra shifts to cover holidays of other drivers.
• Two shifts a day, split into: AM shifts, starting at approximately 8am and finishing approximately 10am, picking trainees up and bringing them to the farm.
• PM shift starting at 3.45pm and finishing approximately 5.45pm, dropping trainees back home
• You will cover Beckley, Hastings, Bexhill, and Battle
• Job share will be considered.
• £11.00 per hour.
