Big Local is an exciting opportunity for residents in the North East area of Hastings to use at least £1 million over 10 years to make a massive and lasting positive difference to their communities. It’s about bringing together all the local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals, groups and organisations who want to make their area an even better place to live.
Hastings Voluntary Action helped to set up the Big Local North East Hastings project in 2013, and led the "Getting Started" phase to raise awareness of the Big Local project and consult with local residents about how the £1 million should be spent. HVA was part of the team that re-consulted with residents in early 2017. From July 2017 HVA took on the responsibility of being the Local Trusted Organisation (LTO) for Big Local North East Hastings.
