Chief Executive  - seAp

c £65,000
Hastings, East Sussex
(Applicants do not need to live in Hastings but regular travel to the Head Office will be required)
Support, empower, Advocate, promote – it’s a straightforward commitment we make to the people we serve.
seAp provides high quality, confidential, independent advocacy services, supporting clients in having a voice in the way they are cared for, in the services they receive and in decisions that are made about their lives.
Advocates support clients to express their views, wishes and feelings themselves, or through a competent and independent voice, assisting them in safeguarding their rights and ensuring that those who are particularly vulnerable and/or excluded have an opportunity to take forward issues which are of importance to them.
Our reputation as a major advocacy provider continues to grow and is evidenced by the fact that over recent times we have been involved in a number of national initiatives and achieved recognition by a number of awards for our progressive approach in a digital world.
Marie Casey, seAp’s current Chief Executive will be retiring after sustained involvement with the organisation as manager, Trustee and then Chief Executive. We are now seeking a new Chief Executive to be responsible for driving forward the current business plan that takes us through to 2020 and to be the visionary leader to define our future strategy within an ever changing, complex and competitive commissioning environment.
The successful candidate is likely to have an entrepreneurial approach with solid business and financial acumen and have worked in a similar sized organisation (over 150 staff located over a wide geographical area). You will also have led multi-disciplinary teams and service strands to deliver exceptional quality.
You will be recognised within your sector for delivering outstanding service standards, having the drive and gravitas to influence local, regional and national decision-makers for the benefit of those communities and individuals you seek to serve.
This is an exciting time to be joining seAp and we welcome applications from empowering leaders with a track record of success in the not-for-profit sector or similar working environments.
