NYAS -National Youth Advocacy Service, East Sussex

To support young people through independent and confidential services that empower them to have their voices heard in matters that affect their lives when in receipt of a service from Children’s Services.
NYAS East Sussex are contracted to provide the following Independent services for young people who are in receipt of a service/s from ESCC Children’s Services :
•Advocacy - for CPC, LAC and children deemed as in need.•Independent Visitor Service – for young people living in the care system•Young people’s participation for young people living in the care system•Advocacy services
•Family Contact services [email protected]•Working Together for Children (CYMRU)•Independent visitors•Independent persons•Investigating officers•Provision of IMHAs•Regulation 33 visitors•Participation and consultation•Training•Helpline•Signposting.
We also provide Looked After Children with an Independent Visitor, Trained Volunteer will be matched with a young person to befriend and mentor the young person and go out and have fun building a trusted relationship
