Crowhurst Community Agriculture
Crowhurst Community Agriculture have the use of just under two acres of land at Upper Wilting Farm. The project is about helping more people to grow their own food, especially those without a garden or have little knowledge about growing fruit and vegetables. The community group has transformed the plot of land into a thriving fruit and vegetable patch. Local people come together to sow, weed and maintain the land and at the end, they take home a share of the harvest. Membership costs less than £1 a week. The groups activities will soon include keeping hens to share the eggs and bee keeping. Members are asked to spend at least four hours a month of their time working on the land.
