Grant-making to voluntary bodies and charitable organisations for initiatives that benefit the local community of Rye and its surrounding villages (up to a radius of 9 km) with an emphasis on improving social cultural and educational provision in Rye and its surrounding villages, promoting the well-being and viability of the market town of Rye, improving and maintaining the built environment of Rye and specific capital projects concerning the built environment of Rye, particularly the safeguarding of community assets and the improvement of visual aspects of the public realm of Rye.
