This is an opportunity to share information about your work, learn about a range of services that are delivered in Hastings, browse the marketplace, and network with a mixture of people from the voluntary, statutory and independent sectors. You will also have a chance see a presentation about an exciting project to turn Hastings into a Garden Town/Corridor. As the HCN Executive Group Elections fall in this year, the new Executive Group will be announced at the event.

MECC (Making Every Contact Count) is a practical introduction to the skills in talking to people about the issues they are concerned about or the changes they are seeking to make. It is all about supporting people to identify and access the things that could help them. So if your work brings you into frequent contact with people and you want to improve the likelihood of making a real difference this training could be for you. A light lunch will be provided.
Are you new in post or keen to find out more about the sector? This workshop, led by HVA Director Steve Manwaring, will include a briefing about the scale and contribution of the VCSE sector in Hastings, information about the services HVA provide, and an opportunity to hear about and discuss the key issues affecting the sector.
Hastings Voluntary Action and Safe Families are working in partnership to better inform church leaders in Hastings and St Leonards about the range of community projects and networks that HVA are involved with, that may be relevant to their work.
