Community Connector

Full time permanent – 37 hours per week
Salary range - £20,494 - £23,080 dependent on skills & experience
Based in Eastbourne.
Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA) delivers a range of projects & services aimed at supporting the needs of vulnerable individuals and empowering and further developing community activity. We are now looking for an experienced individual to join our Let’s Get Working team, a project funded by the European Social Fund and Big Lottery Fund supporting people with long term health issues and disabilities.
We are recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Community Connector to offer intensive, ongoing and practical support to participants with disabilities and long term health issues. The Community Connector will enable participants to access a range of services geared to supporting them back into sustainable work, learning or volunteering.
You will demonstrate a successful track record in working supportively with vulnerable people, assisting & enabling them to access opportunities, and be accustomed to regular review and performance reporting.
You should be able to demonstrate excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and will be a confident and credible ambassador for SCDA, showing sensitivity to the aims & values of the organisation as a whole.
The post is subject to a DBS check and based in Eastbourne, with some travel to outreach locations across East Sussex.
