Hastings Voluntary Action is working with Macmillan Cancer Support to help people access local services, and break down barriers to quality care.
The project will be led by Jane Dodson (Macmillan Project Manager) and Yasmine Kamel (Macmillan Community Development Worker), who we welcome to the HVA team!
We are recruiting volunteers willing to talk to people in their communities about cancer and the support available. Free training will be given to those who sign up, in conversational techniques, mental health awareness, and the different types of cancer and treatments.
