As part of our ongoing commitment to hearing the voice of older people in our town and working with partners to make Hastings a positive place to age in, HVA has made the pledge to become an Age-Friendly employer. The Age-friendly Employer Pledge is a nationwide programme for employers who recognise the importance and value of older workers. Employers commit to improving work for people in their 50s and 60s and taking the necessary action to help them flourish in a multigenerational workforce.
The pledge follows on from our work to promote Hastings as an Age-friendly town, our partnerships with the NASP and Independent Age supporting social prescribing for older people and the facilitation of the Hastings Ageing Network, which proactively addresses themes and challenges relevant to people as they age in Hastings.
