Energy advisers from Citizens Advice 1066 and Dan Bainbridge, East Sussex fuel poverty co-ordinator, are running free online training sessions to help people cope with high energy bills and cold weather. The one-hour training is for anyone working or volunteering in a role where they interact with households, especially households where there are vulnerable people.
Information about organisations and other agencies to access further support will also be shared with the financial aspects of fuel poverty also being highlighted, including how to maximise income through claiming benefits and sources of support, and dealing with debt.
The training will be held on Zoom once a week through to December.
